Students will learn to structure a novel, including outlining a story, developing a story world, creating and developing fictional characters, and creating and developing multiple conflicts that support a theme. Students will then write a novella (15,000-30,000 words) or a novel (30,000+ words) over the course of the spring semester.
This preceptorial will have weekly live sessions online for forty-five minutes, with the instructor available by email throughout the week. The instructor will also offer detailed feedback on weekly writing assignments.
